Had to happen eventually, didn't it? July 4, 2007 @ 20:27 - Kevin Nintendo has finally taken advantage of the advertising phenomenon known as NASCAR; Roush Racing's Greg Biffle of the #16 National Guard car will be switching logos for the upcoming Watkin's Glen and Dover races in the NASCAR Nextel Cup Series. This kind of exposure will do unfathomable favors for the Wii name. Currently, there are no NASCAR sponsored vehicles with "Playstation 3" or "Xbox 360" on the hood. NASCAR is the US's largest spectator sport and receives very little attention competition with any sporting event other than the Super Bowl. It may be safe to say that in the US, there is no better marketing strategy than NASCAR sponsorship. Currently, the sponsors range from classic storefront products like detergent, energy drinks, and food to phone companies, movie promotions, and auto part suppliers. With a Wii car on the circuit, there can be no mistaking it - everyone will know Wii.
