What is D2W?

D2W stands for Direct2Wii. It is WiiVolve's news-delivery service to those who have an internet connection on their Wii consoles.

What do I get with D2W?

WiiVolve will periodically send you important headlines concerning Wii and the world of Nintendo. These news articles can also be found on the front page of the WiiVolve website. Because of the Wii console's internet restrictions, WiiVolve can only offer text emails. This excludes images, Flash, and other multimedia from being delivered to your Wii.

What do I need for subscribing, and how do I do it?

First and foremost, you'll need a Wii. Next, it must be connected to the internet via WiiConnect24. If your Wii is properly connected to the internet, then you're all set. Nothing else is required for you to enjoy free news deliveries straight to your console. Just follow the four steps below to obtain your Wii Number. You'll need this number when subscribing.

• Turn on your Wii console.
• Access your Message Board.
• Select Address Book.
• Copy down your 16-digit Wii Number.

Now that you're still in the address book, be sure to add news@wiivolve.com to your contact list. Doing so will allow our emails to get past the Wii console's firewall.

Finally, it's time to register. Go to the subscription page and follow these instructions.

In the field that asks for your Wii email address, replace the 16 #s with your own Wii console's 16-digit Wii Number. Next, fill in your board username if you have one. Lastly, click "Submit" and your form will be processed.

Removing yourself from future letters is easy. Just go back to the subscription page, fill out everything as if you were subscribing, but this time choose the "Unsubscribe" option before you click "Submit". Your form will be processed and your Wii email address removed in a matter of minutes.
